How we compared them
Furbo Dog Camera
The most expensive of the three, and built for dogs. Furbo lists 1080p video, a treat tosser, two-way audio and bark alerts, with a 360° rotating model available. Cloud recording and the more advanced alerts need a subscription. Owners report the treat launch can startle some dogs at first, and it needs small, round, hard treats.
Petcube Play 2
Mid-priced. Petcube lists 1080p video with a wide-angle lens and a built-in laser toy you can control from the app, plus Alexa built in. There is no treat tosser on this model. Cloud recording needs a subscription. If you use the laser, finish sessions on a toy the cat can actually catch.
Wyze Cam v3
By far the cheapest, and a general-purpose camera rather than a pet product. Wyze lists 1080p video, colour night vision, motion and sound detection, and free local recording to a microSD card, with optional paid cloud features. There are no pet-specific features.
