FurReviews is an independent pet product site. We compare specifications, materials, ingredient panels and reported owner experience across dogs, cats, birds, fish, small pets and reptiles, and publish what we find — including the parts that argue against buying.
Everything here is published under the FurReviews editorial byline rather than under individual names. That is deliberate: guides are researched, written and edited collectively, and attributing them to a named person would imply a single author standing behind each one.
It also means we are not claiming credentials we do not have. We are not veterinarians, and nothing here is veterinary advice. Where a subject needs clinical judgement — a diagnosis, a medication, a prescription diet — the page says so and points you at your vet instead of answering.
We read specifications, ingredient panels, AAFCO statements, manufacturer documentation, welfare guidance and published research, and we read what owners report over months of use. Then we lay it side by side so a decision takes minutes rather than an evening.
We do not run a laboratory, we do not conduct long-term trials, and we do not claim to. Where a judgement comes from reported experience rather than a measurement, the page labels it that way.
Where the evidence for something is genuinely mixed — joint supplements, pheromone diffusers, the open question about grain-free diets and canine heart disease — we say that rather than giving a confident answer nobody can honestly give.

The conflict of interest is real and worth stating plainly rather than burying: a site funded by commissions has an incentive to tell you to buy something. We offset it by publishing what is wrong with each product alongside what is right, by naming who should buy something else, and by saying when the cheaper option, or no purchase at all, is the better answer.
If something here is wrong, we want to know. Errors of fact are corrected in place, and where a correction materially changes a recommendation the change is noted on the page rather than made quietly.
